Is She More Special Than Children

So, we have a rule at our house and that is: the pillows that came with the couch are NOT head pillows. If you are going to recline on the couch, the pillows need to be on the floor and NOT under your head :-)

Last night, I sent a couple of pictures of Mariko to our daughter in graduate school. She doesn't get to see her Mariko as much as she would like. Her question to me was: "How come she gets to use the pillows and we don't?" Hmmm, not sure how to answer that other than, "How do you say NO to that face?" Besides, she doesn't get to be on the couch :-)

Got Sick This Week

Not sure what was going on with this girl this week, but Friday she wasn't feeling very well. We had a vet appointment anyway for shots, so he took a good look at her and decided that she had a "tummy" bug, gastritis or pancreatitis  :-( He put her on some anti-nausea meds for a couple of days and some antibiotics. She was doing much better on Saturday and by Sunday was almost back to normal. I hate it when they don't feel good :-(

Another Great Week

We had another fun week with this puppy, especially Karlee, who has spoiled her beyond belief. Those two have really been hanging out way too much :-)

Gangster Mariko

I was getting ready to leave for work yesterday morning and this is where I found Mariko (instead of waiting by the back door).

Last Thursday we attended a conference at Utah Valley University. Mariko was on her best behavior and slept under my chair the entire time (even though it was the first 70 degree, sunshiney day, that we have had in a VERY long time).

Boring!

Haven't figured out yet why she loves being on her back so much, but she truly does.

Maybe someone will notice and play ball.

Saturday night we had the opportunity to attend a Jazz basketball game in Salt Lake and decided it would be a great experience for Mariko. She did great (she was much better with the crowds than I was).

She did sneak out from under the seat once to "peek" over the seat in front of us to see what was going on. She just needed a quick look and then she was good again. She is so funny!

I wonder what's going on out there.

Such a Fun Puppy

Thought that I would share the "most fun" pictures that I took last week with this silly girl!

Mariko just loves this bed; however, before she settles in for the night (before going into her kennel), it takes her at least 5 minutes to "rearrange" the position of the bed so that it is just to her liking. The entire process is quite comical.

This adorable puppy, is what you see when she is bored and no longer thinks she should be working. There really are no words :-)

Well, I think we all feel this way this morning after the time change.  We weren't in the office 10 seconds before she was already snuggled in and snoring.

Yes, she continues to be such a source of joy and laughter for us.

Well, it's obviously boring at work today, but for some reason she a little clingy today.

Such a silly puppy, but oh how we do love her :-)
